An Organizational Learning Lab can be applied at varying points during a change process. At the strategic level, the Lab helps a leadership team re-frame its thinking about the business, the environment and develop future-oriented strategies and approaches. The Lab is based on the premise:
- To change business results, we must change our behavior.
- To change our behavior, we must change our thinking.
- To change our thinking, we must learn.
Based on an inductive approach to learning, the Lab employs visual and kinesthetic exercises. Upon completing the process, the leadership team possesses a better sense of how the business can be successful, with assumptions about business dynamics tested and confirmed. The Lab can also be used throughout the organization as a means of engaging the entire workforce in re-framing seemingly insurmountable problems and opening teams to new possibilities. |
