
Dan Holmes is senior web developer for Garrison Solutions and has been building web sites since 1993. Dan is responsible for transforming information architecture and web design concepts into a functioning web site with robust interactivity and dynamic presentation of content. His development experience includes years of experience in HTML, CSS, PHP, JSP, ASP, XML, MySQL server, JavaScript, and Flash. He also has extensive experience cutting and encoding video and audio for web delivery.
Dan formerly worked for Gaylord Digital in Nashville, TN, where as a developer he helped launch Songs.com and MusicForce.com, the latter the leading Christian music web site and a pioneer in digital downloads. An avid baseball fan, Dan realized a dream when he served as web manager for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY, from 2001-2006. He also owned and operated TraverseWeb, a web development company in Michigan, in the 1990s, launching several web sites for businesses in northern Michigan. Dan most recently worked for Major League Baseball Advanced Media, where he served as the lead developer on the project that re-launched the Baseball Hall of Fame website, www.baseballhall.org, as well as assisting in production on www.mlb.com, the official web site of Major League Baseball. Dan is the author of three books and has had several of his articles published in magazines. He lives in Traverse City with his two daughters.
